Poem: Technique

By: Edgar Law

She knows how to run
the meeting, how to show
without telling, how to design
a great presentation

She knows how to manage
a bow tie, make her way
around a crowded table, but
today it’s slipping

She can’t seem to manage
to call back all those elements
she knows are supposed to be
and forgets the bottom line.
